Schedule C Self-Assessment Worksheet

Scan all 26 Schedule C categories at once. Mark what you had. Know what to go collect receipts for before the appointment.

What you'll get

  • ✓All 26 Schedule C expense categories, each with a plain-English question and its Schedule C line number
  • ✓The IRS source to verify before you file, on every row
  • ✓A CSV that imports straight into Google Sheets: mark Yes, No, or Not Sure as you scan

How to use it

You'll get a CSV file. In Google Sheets: File → Import → Upload, choose "Replace current sheet," and the whole worksheet drops in: all 26 categories, questions, Schedule C lines, and IRS sources. Type Yes, No, or Not Sure in the Your Answer column as you go, or add a dropdown yourself (Data → Data validation) if you want the click-to-answer version.

It doesn't compute a total and doesn't tell you what to deduct: that's a scan, not a return. For anything you mark Yes or Not Sure, look up the named IRS source before you file.

An honest note

This worksheet doesn't cover business income or cost of goods sold, employee wages or benefit programs, depletion, or the energy-efficient buildings deduction: deliberate scope boundaries, not oversights. It's a self-check, not tax advice: verify every source before you file, and when in doubt, ask a CPA.
