Privacy Policy
Effective Date: July 20, 2026
Last Updated: July 20, 2026
FinnStatement (“FinnStatement,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by OTG Consulting, LLC, a single-member Illinois limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through finnstatement.com (the “Site”), how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Site or purchasing our products, you agree to the practices described here.
This Service is intended for customers in the United States. We do not knowingly market to, or direct our Service at, individuals located in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or the European Economic Area, and this Policy does not address GDPR or UK GDPR obligations.
1. Who We Are
FinnStatement sells digital bookkeeping templates in Google Sheets format, designed for U.S. self-employed solopreneurs. We are a product of OTG Consulting, LLC.

2. Information We Collect
We collect very little personal information, and we collect it directly from you.
- Contact information you provide. If you sign up for our resource library, download a free tool, or otherwise submit a form on the Site, we collect your name and email address.
- Purchase information — handled by Gumroad, not us. When you buy a FinnStatement template, the transaction is processed entirely by Gumroad, Inc., our third-party e-commerce and fulfillment provider. Gumroad collects your payment details (card number, billing address) and the email address you use at checkout, and delivers the product to you directly. We never receive, see, or store your card or payment information. Gumroad shares limited purchase information with us (such as your email address and what you bought) so we can provide customer support and send you product updates.
- Website usage data. Like most websites, we may automatically collect basic technical information when you visit the Site — such as your browser type, device type, referring page, and pages viewed — through an analytics tool. See §10 (Cookies and Analytics) below.
- Communications. If you email us (e.g., at hello@finnstatement.com), we retain that correspondence to respond to you and keep a record of the interaction.
We do not have user accounts or logins. FinnStatement templates are downloaded, standalone files — there is no login-based product experience, so we do not collect passwords, in-app activity, or account-linked usage history.
Information we do not collect. We do not knowingly collect health information, biometric data, precise geolocation, government ID numbers, financial account numbers, or information about children.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information described above to:
- Deliver the templates and lead-magnet resources you request;
- Provide customer support and respond to inquiries;
- Send you product updates, tips, and occasional marketing emails related to FinnStatement (you can unsubscribe at any time — see §7);
- Understand how visitors use the Site so we can improve it;
- Maintain business records for accounting, tax, and legal-compliance purposes;
- Detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, or security issues.
We do not use your information to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects about you.
4. How We Share Information
We are not in the business of selling your data. Specifically:
- We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Gumroad (payment processing & fulfillment). As described in §2, Gumroad independently collects and processes your payment and checkout information as a data controller in its own right, subject to Gumroad’s own privacy policy. We encourage you to review it at gumroad.com/privacy.
- Service providers. We share limited information with vendors who help us run the Site and business — for example, our email delivery provider (for lead-magnet and update emails), our website hosting provider, and our analytics provider (§10). These vendors are only permitted to use your information to provide services to us.
- Legal requirements. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or other legal process, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of FinnStatement, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If OTG Consulting, LLC is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy or a successor policy of substantially similar protections.
We do not have a “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link because we do not engage in the sale or sharing (as those terms are defined under California law) of personal information.
5. Refunds and Purchase Records
Purchase and refund requests for templates are handled per our Terms of Service and Gumroad’s standard buyer policies, generally within a 30-day window of purchase. We retain purchase records as described in §6 for accounting and tax purposes even after a refund is issued.
6. Data Retention
We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy:
| Category | Retention window |
|---|---|
| Lead-capture name/email (no purchase) | Until you unsubscribe or request deletion, or up to 3 years of inactivity |
| Customer purchase/contact records (via Gumroad) | Duration of our Gumroad relationship + 7 years, to satisfy tax/financial recordkeeping obligations |
| Support email correspondence | Up to 3 years from last contact |
| Website analytics data | Up to 14 months, in aggregate/anonymized form thereafter |
7. Your Rights and Choices
Regardless of where you live, you may:
- Access — ask what personal information we hold about you;
- Correct — ask us to fix inaccurate information;
- Delete — ask us to delete your personal information, subject to legal recordkeeping requirements (e.g., we may need to retain transaction records for tax purposes);
- Unsubscribe — opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email, or by emailing us; and
- Export — request a copy of the personal information you provided to us.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@finnstatement.com. We will respond within 30 days. We may need to verify your identity (typically by confirming the email address associated with your request) before fulfilling it.
8. California Residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, “CCPA”), gives you additional rights:
- Categories of personal information collected: Identifiers (name, email address); commercial information (purchase history, provided by Gumroad); internet/electronic activity (website usage data).
- Sources: Directly from you (forms, checkout); from our service provider Gumroad (purchase confirmation data); automatically via analytics.
- Business/commercial purpose: To deliver products, provide support, market our products, and operate the Site, as described in §3.
- Disclosures for a business purpose: Shared with service providers as described in §4 (Gumroad, email provider, hosting, analytics).
- Sale or sharing: We do not sell or share (as CCPA defines those terms) your personal information. No “Do Not Sell or Share” link is required.
- Sensitive personal information: We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by CCPA.
- Your California rights: Right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/sharing (not applicable here since we don’t sell/share); right to non-discrimination for exercising these rights. Submit requests via hello@finnstatement.com.
9. Other U.S. State Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have similar rights under your state’s privacy law — including Virginia (VCDPA), Colorado (CPA), Connecticut (CTDPA), Utah (UCPA), Texas (TDPSA), Oregon (OCPA), Montana (MTCDPA), Delaware (DPDPA), New Hampshire (NHCDPA), New Jersey (NJDPA), Tennessee (TIPA), Minnesota (MCDPA), and other states as their laws take effect. In general, these laws give you the right to access, correct, delete, and obtain a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale of personal information or targeted advertising (which we do not engage in). To exercise rights under any applicable state law, email hello@finnstatement.com, and we will honor valid requests as required by the law that applies to you.
10. Cookies and Analytics
The Site uses cookies and similar technologies only for:
- Strictly necessary functions — such as remembering that you’ve dismissed a banner or completed a form; and
- Website analytics — provided by Google Analytics (GA4), which helps us understand aggregate traffic patterns (e.g., page views, referral sources, general location). Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address and device/usage data to do this. We do not use it to build advertising profiles or for cross-site advertising or retargeting. You can opt out via your browser settings or Google’s opt-out tools.
You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect some Site functionality but will not prevent you from purchasing or downloading templates through Gumroad.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect the limited personal information we hold, including TLS encryption in transit and access controls on our systems. Payment data is never handled by us directly — it goes straight to Gumroad’s PCI-compliant infrastructure. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
12. Children’s Privacy
FinnStatement is not directed to, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from, individuals under 18 years of age. If we learn we’ve inadvertently collected information from a minor, we will delete it promptly. Contact us at hello@finnstatement.com if you believe this has occurred.
13. International Users
FinnStatement is designed for and marketed to customers in the United States. If you access the Site from outside the U.S., you do so on your own initiative, and your information will be processed in the United States, which may have different data protection laws than your home jurisdiction.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version with an updated “Last Updated” date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice (such as a notice on the Site or an email to subscribers) before the change takes effect.
